Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the greatest gymnasts. In the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in one Games as well as the first gymnast to earn three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles lived within Spring Texas in the Houston metro area, where her and her sister Adria had been adopted by grandparents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone's interest in gymnastics began when she was just six years old, during a trip with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained with Aimee Borman as coach until the year 2011. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and also a bronze at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Biles then advanced to competitions at the elite level in 2011. Less than two years later she dominated the sport. Biles's consistency, her exuberant personality and the level of difficulty during her four eventsvault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercise and floor exercise -- set her out from the rest of the athletes.
