Tom Selleck-2Thomas William Selleck is an American actor. His most famous character was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) in which he received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead actor in a Drama Series, winning in 1985. In the show Blue Bloods, Selleck has appeared as Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. Since 2005, he has played the role of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in a small town New York City. The actor has also played in nine television films which are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also played the part of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady (90). He has also appeared in over 50 different film and television roles since Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball and Lassiter. He was a regular on television in roles as Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and as Lance White, the likeable and innocent partner on The Rockford Files, and as casino owner A.J.
